holy shit #2 tchaikovsky 1812 overture was played in a tinytoons episode I never forget.

I reconize the melody and the theme. I just didn’t know what it was called.

  9. TanteKrissi says:

Maybe he means “Lux aeterna” by Ligeti.

  10. kickassclassical says:

Clint Mansell’s 2000 composition “Lux Aeterna” from the soundtrack to “Requiem For A Dream” is indeed kickass.

Although we do feel that film music is the new classical, we only included one piece on this list… John Williams 1980 composition “Imperial March” at #26.

You could argue this either way. But if we included all the film music that deserved it, like the Harry Potter theme, etc., this list would be the Most Popular Film and Classical Music. And that wasn’t our goal :)

  11. xoloxum says:

where the hell is Lux Aeterna??? it should be in the top ten!

  12. OurenV2 says:
